When cycling throughout congested city centers, I often wondered how it would be to ride above traffic. And I was hoping that the recent activity around Berchem Station (Antwerp) involved some of these ideas. Nope. But in London Exterior Architecture, Foster + Partners and Space Syntax announced the idea of 10 three story high routes that with 209 access points connects large parts of the city for bikers in a safe and fast way. The Sky Cycle will take 20 years to build and will cost 220 000 000 pound. I would say: start building. And not only in London please!
